Surprisingly Good Budget MTB Tire Set for Trail and Everyday Riding I picked up this tire set as an affordable replacement option and honestly came away pretty impressed for the price. Getting two tires, tubes, and tire levers all in one package makes this feel like a pretty good value—especially if you are doing your own bike maintenance and want everything needed in one box. The first thing I noticed was the tread pattern. These have a fairly aggressive knobby design that gives decent grip on dirt, gravel, loose surfaces, and even rough pavement. I would not call them high-end performance MTB tires, but for recreational trail riding, commuting, or casual off-road use, they feel confidence inspiring and stable. They also roll reasonably well on pavement without feeling overly sluggish. Installation was easier than expected for folding tires. They arrive folded, so I let them sit out for a bit to regain shape before mounting, which helped. The included tire levers were actually useful, and having matching inner tubes included saved me the hassle of ordering separate parts. Once mounted and inflated, they seated properly and held pressure without issues. I also like that the tires feel reasonably sturdy. The rubber and casing seem durable enough for everyday riding, and they look like they should hold up well to gravel paths, neighborhood riding, and moderate trail use. For someone refreshing an older mountain bike or commuter bike, this feels like an easy upgrade. A couple things to keep in mind: these are more geared toward all-terrain and trail riding than smooth road efficiency, so you may notice a bit more rolling resistance and tire noise on pavement compared with slick or hybrid tires. Also, since they come folded for packaging, expect them to need a little time and patience during installation to fully take shape. Bottom line: For the price, this is a really solid all-in-one mountain bike tire kit. Good traction, easy DIY installation, and nice to have the tubes and tools included.     Very nice tires, mounted up easy and a good deal with tubes included. I put them on a bike that originally had 20×1.95 tires and even though these say they are numerically wider, they don't look it and fit / function better than the originals.

    Better product then box stores. Price and construction beat them out. The green gel ones from a certain box store dont compare to these. Highly recommend for the casual rider.

    I've put about 30 mi on one of them (the rear tire), and so far it seems pretty good. The tread pattern is well suited for roads, light trails, and gravel. My only criticism is that they do appear slightly smaller and less chunky than my stock tires of the same size, 27.5 x 2.1, which is slightly disappointing. I may try moving up to a 2.3 size if they make them. But overall I'm satisfied with the purchase.

    This are very good quality and thick material. Knobby enough for off-road and still enough constant context in middle to make paved surfaces smooth. The tubes are a good deal.

    Great set of tires to replace the hybrid ones with something a little more rugged. By no means are these hardcore mountain biking tires, but they give me plenty of confidence to hit the odd dirt road. Installation was simple, and the included tire irons (even a single one) worked great to get the old tire off. The new one slipped onto the wheel and seated very easily. Bead seems to have set perfectly and the tire rolls nicely. I think these are a great set of tires to have either as primaries or as a backup since they are packed pretty compactly. Very satisfied!

    I was able to pick up a really nice mountain bike for free from someone online, and the only thing it needed was a new set of tires. I didn't want to spend a fortune replacing them, so I gave these a try. The tires were easier to install than I expected, and I liked that the kit came with the inner tubes and tire levers, so I had everything I needed in one package. They seem to be well made and they fit perfectly. For the price, I think these are an excellent value. They saved me a lot compared to buying replacement tires from the bike manufacturer, and now the bike is back on the trails and looks like it's brand new!
