OVERVIEW: The Hankook Kinergy GT (*) is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. This model is the original equipment tire of select BMW vehicles.The tire model has remarkable all weather traction thanks to the silica-based tire compound and the symmetric tread pattern that increases the all weather traction and road gripping ability. The tread pattern’s special lateral lugs, wider Kinergy circumferential grooves and step-wing shoulder design avoid hydroplaning and increase the wet weather traction by dispersing water from below the tire footprint. The tire is M+S rated for its great mud and snow traction. The winter weather traction is further improved with the lateral grooves and the equalized chamfer sipes that are capable of firmly gripping snow-covered roads. This allows the tire to be safely used year-round.This is the run flat version of the Kinergy GT model. It utilizes the stronger internal structure which is able to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers in case of air pressure loss. In this manner, the tire is able to run for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph. When air pressure leaves the tire, the vehicle will not be stranded on the road.
